Have folks found themselves sailing less this summer, due to the relentless heat? I just haven't had the want to go sailing in +90 F. heat. Its not sailing, its

baking

. I've felt guilty about how little I've been out on the lake. -But if its not fun, why do it. Oh well...

Last year, when asked if I was going to race in our summer Sunday series, I said 'not if it's 105 or hotter.' I didn't race.

This year I found myself out there a few times in ~105. To be fair, last summer made this one look and feel downright moderate around here..

I'd kill for 90.

In Houston it was not as hot as last year. Last year the temperature indicator on my car showed 105-110F as I turned in the storage yard for July through Aug. This year I don't think I saw above 100.

When it gets that hot, you rig slow, complain, and get out on the water as soon as possible because the temp seems to drop 20 degrees.
