It's time to quit bitching about u.s. sailing
After reading the April Sailing World article on the Steeplechase, it struck me that there has been a high-profile, positive article on cats nearly every issue for the past year.
I think we lost our griping rights. If those of us who sail cats don't start joining u.s. sailing and making our presence known at sailing clubs, instead of isolating ourselves, we deserve to be ignored.
Those people like John, Darline and Gordon and everyone on the multihull committee, and those like WF, who has pushed for the inclusion of his class into the mainstream, appear to have had an effect.
It just seems amazing to actually see catamarans and catamaran races covered.

Indirect relationship - u.s. sailing supports sailing world/vice-versa, most of their readers are u.s. sailing members. I was also referring to some of the stuff from the multihull council. Just kind of a general comment. Sorry - the post wasn't real clear. Been a long day

I haven't heard any recent "bitching" about US Sailing, but I would think that would be preferable to the general apathy about it in the multihull world. US Sailing has something like 44,000 members, and only about 1,200 of them are multihull sailors. It's downright embarrassing.
