Congratulations to John and Tiffany Tomko on their win in the fourth annual Great Texas.
The final day of racing was held in extreme conditions with all the challenges of large surf and big air. Despite the challenging conditions, John and Tiffany, were able to not only maintain their lead but build on the lead by being first to the beach.
This year's Great Texas was held in generally reaching conditions. The Tigers excelled in these conditions and captured all top five spots.
Leg 3 was cancelled due to large surf and storms moving over the race course. Despite the disappointment of the cancelled leg, the final leg proved to be extreme and left many sailors satisified that they had gotten their fill of sailing. Many sailors comments that it was the largest seas they had ever seen in their sailing careers.
Once again, congratulations to John and Tiffany.
