We will be getting the new year started off right with the Tradewinds Regatta. We, CABB, are cosponsors of this regatta. This will be the CABB event for January. The dates are January 19-21. Monday, January 21, is a holiday. We have a new location for this regatta this year. It will be held at the Islander Resort in Islamorada this year for the first time. This is a fantastic location for a regatta. They have a huge beach area for staging and another huge lot for trailer storage. They have rooms right there on the site so you do not have to go anywhere all weekend if you don't want. It is perfect if you want to bring the family along for the weekend. They have two pools and many more amenities. The resort will probably fill up for this event, so make your reservation as soon as possible.

This is one of the best regattas of the entire year and it is just down the road.
Also, we are looking for individuals who can help out with the regatta. We are looking for help on the committee boats and the chase boats and if you have a motor boat you can bring, all the better. If you are not planning on racing, helping on race committee can be a great way to experience the regatta up close and personal. Let me or Rick White know if you think you would like to help out. We have new people coming and there will be a video producer coming as well.., need to find him a good boat that gets to see both courses.
