It's been tough find wheels for my Nacra 5.2 that I have on the beach. I need them to move the boat 50 feet into the water. Dragging it in the sand is just bad for it. I spend $500 on the boat ( a steal), but brand new wheels are about $325. Anyone in the Annapolis, Baltimore,Eastern Shore, DC metro area know of any used ones for sale, to be given away, not being used? Thanks for your responses.

I just rejuvenated some old leaky rubber CatTrax beach wheels that had the original rusted-thru steel-pipe axle. Anybody want to know how?

Yes

I have a similar set... perhaps in a bit better shape. the axel seems fine. I thought about looking for some inner tubes but havent thought much about it. (way on the back burner)

Used cattrax are difficult to find. Occasionally you can find them on Ebay - but they still bring a pretty good price. They're difficult to find because they are so useful and people rarely let them go. Even if you buy a new set, you won't regret it.

$325. for a CATRAX that must be a joke, just paid twice that figure for a set of beach wheels here in Europe.

If you are fixing up an older set of Roleez, You may want to check with Woody at New Concept Products to get parts. (866) 493-8726 I've had to replace broken axle and hub assemblies. The parts are very reasonable. I'm not sure if he has used or refurbished one.

Rolleze are somewhat repairable with parts available.
But I'm talking about real rubber tire CatTrax with rust-hole leaks in the steel inner axle inside the rubber tire. You have to take them apart to see the problem.
Also does anybody know what the rubber filler valve looks like inside? Does it just get sand in it and then a slow leak? This is a kind of nuisance too: Needs a football needle to fill. I put in a permanent heavy duty one.
