Slow day on the forum, so time for a bump.
34 boats pre-registered.
It looks like Spring Fever has set the bar pretty high for regatta attendance.
We hope to be the biggest cat race in the country this year.
Come join the fun.

Cool! ...What a great challenge.... a really positive catfight!!!

Spring Fever (South East)
MadCatter (North)
Statue of Liberty (Mid Atlantic)
CatFight (Central)
Tradewinds (Florida Keys)

Which region will generate the biggest turnout of the year for these signature regattas?

The events are spread throughout the country and run by great clubs... So... which area can beat the bushes the best and get everyone to go racing!!!

A positve reason to put the popcorn on!!!

Mark

Hey Pat

Wow.. a tie.... Great turnouts so far!!

The buzz on the Aniversary Madcatter is quite high down here.. Gunpowder moved this year to avoid a conflict and let the organizers and mid atlantic sailors go north...

Do you think you have a shot at 100 boats?

Hard to say: We have sent out like 100 invitations to all the old timers and NE area sailors along with some nationwide hotshots.
People come out of the woodwork with their orange boats and Chunky Banana sails.
We did this for the 20th and had 125 boats.
I would say 85-90 is very reasonable

awh.... that is that left coast thing ... They don't count!... do they?

Isn't the center of the universe the Baltimore, WASHINGTON, Annapolis?

You west coasters need your own best turnout for a regatta list.

No 14,0000 feet tall moutain ranges to surmount.

Seriously, that was an outstanding turnout for the midwinters in Mexico and many sailor drove for hours to make it happen.... What a great testiment to the Mexican organizors... who year after year deliver a regatta that people just have to attend.
