Our ship has come in.
Granted the beach was there for swimmers in the past, but the Board of Columbia Sailing Club has been very generous to us new cat members in preparing this beach for our upcoming regattas. The Feds havent made things easy for us though, they are requiring the owners of the dam(SC Electric and Gas) to build a backup dam. This meant for workers safety our lake had to be dropped 15 ft for 2 years. There is still plenty of water, and now more beach area. Hope you can come play on our new beach at the Tommy Whiteside Memorial regatta on May 17-18th.
