The Muddy Waters Regatta will be Sept. 9-11 at the Carlyle Sailing Association, located in Hazlet State Park, about six miles north of Carlyle, IL. It is being hosted by Hobie Fleet 123, but it will include an open fleet for non-Hobies. The notice of race is posted on the NOR forum on this web site, or go to www.csa-sailing.org.

You can keep your boat at Carlyle Sailing Association, mast up, and return for the Whale of Sail Regatta the following weekend.

Carlyle Sailing Assn. Cat Fleet's 31st annual Muddy Waters Regatta at Carlyle Sailing Assn. on Lake Carlyle in Southern IL. about 50 miles East of St. Louis, MO. This is the site of the 2003 Hobie 17 & 18 North American Championships. Ask anyone who has sailed here how great the sailing and facilities are at CSA.
The dates are Sept. 10th & 11th
See our flyer on our web sight.

That was posted by Latham Souther on behalf of Fleet 123 and Carlyle Sailing Association. Sorry -- didn't mean to make it look like it is Rick's regatta. We are just trying to help publicize it because I forgot to put their flyer in Catamaran Sailor.

They say all cats are welcome, and it only takes three boats to make a fleet.

It's a great venue within an easy drive of lots of the Midwest.

The Carylye Sailing Association on beautiful Lake Carlyle has been a home for beach cats for more than three decades. They have both a Hobie fleet and an open catamaran fleet. They jointly host events, including the famous Muddy Waters Regatta, which is open equally to all beach cats, for both one-design and handicap racing.

Coming up soon, Sept. 10-11.

CSA has paved parking for 380 boats, 3 electric jib cranes, 1300 ft. of dock and two launching ramps. The grounds are located in Hazlett State Park with a breakwater protected harbor, beach area for catamarans, picnic pavilion, shower/rest rooms, clubhouse, resident harbormaster, and we are adjacent to a full service campground.
