Looks like excellent value for the money! Is it a timber boat?

Actually, current conversions have $1 NZ as $0.763 USD. Just as a comparison though, i bought a pack of M&M's today for about that same price, so yeah, what kind of condition is it in?...i bet it won't be able to taste as good as my M&M's. <img src=

Hi
It is ply so a little heavy has a good square top rig
with tapered mast and dual side and forestays a dual tube boom

It had a weak spot where th rear beam attaches which has now been fixed

2 sets of rudders which are a lot like the newer shapes
good centrboards although wider

a very long tramp ( party boat ) good rudder castings

It will be in the water next week.

The story is that the boat had been under a guys mothers house and she wanted it out of there so the owner got fed up with her complaints and to spite her put it up for auction for $1.00 After he sold it she got all annoyed at the low price. cant win

Looking at the hull shape it should be a good fast high wind boat Very shallow stern and max volume around the front beam.

The front beam is quite a long way forward than my newwer A Class so hope its not too much of a nosediver although I think we will be sailing off the back of the boat when the winds up.

The intention is to sail it 2 up and give it death until something breaks For $1.00 we will get value for our money very quickly.
I have added a curveed traveller track as the old one was a rope type ( real vintage )

I suspect the boat is around 30 years old but for its age is in ex condition

Will report back when I have sailed it.

It came with lots of spares.

We have painted the decks relaced the tramp and made some adjustments to the rudder system and not much else.

Thanks for your interest
