[#22518]

G'day guys thanks to those who gave input on how to handle the Nacra 5.8 on the beach, I've been having a blast. Heres some photos of our last race of the season 2 weeks ago with me as new skipper and a mate of mine from Adelaide only sailing his third time. The race was 5km reach south along the coast from the club, 10km downwind north, then 5km reach south again in about 17knots with a bit of wind chop.
regards

I normally wouldn't have anyone to use the spinnaker with, most of the time the crew will be my wife or kids and they dont have the strength.

Sorry for the late reply Rhino I've been away working. I don't know the difference in rigs yet but as soon as I get some time I'll be posting some questions on the forum about tuning etc, so far Ricks book has helped heaps

G'day Dazz yeah your right but in the close photo I couldn't blame him we were dollying down for a photo and a puff caught us out of position with him way forward. If it was my old Stingray it would have been the pitchpole the photographer was looking for. <img src=
