[#28882]

Does anyone out there have a set of old I20 jib cars laying around? I will be adding a self tacker to my recently purchased I20 in the near future, but would like to have it on the water this weekend if I can locate the cars.

It's a standard Harken part - and you only need one (which is sort-a the point with the self tacker). I'm pretty sure this is your guy:

I think he means the cars that used to slide into the track in the beam for the non-self-tacker setup.

Yep, non self tacker for now.

Can someone give me a length for the N20 self tacker? Is it about 30"?

99.9% sure I have both the cars and blocks around here in FL, though it appears bacho has them too.

My problem is that I forgot how much work it would be to remove them. It's not worth removing them at any reasonable price for the parts themselves. The risk of complications is too high.

If it's just temporary ,fish a piece of spectra or vectran around the outer most holes and tie your blocks off to it. You DO NOT want to break a beam bolt trying to take it out, trust me.

Ugh I forgot that you have to take the bloody beam bolts out to slide them off the track.

What a pain in the butt.

Yea....I just strung my tramp tighter than a banjo last weekend. Hmmmm. One bolt at a time to get them on I guess. Rick Bliss has a pair.
