[#12799]

I live in Missouri and I'm looking for a used h16 mast in Missouri or Illinois. My current one was bent during 70 mph winds this summer, - My wife and I straightened it a little, but not enough, when we took it down for the winter it was really noticable. I do not have a comp tip. Would it make any difference or difficulty if I bought a mast with a comp tip on it? I use a furling jib so I don't use a jib halyard.
If you know anyone in Missouri, or Illinois, (around St. Louis if possible, but further wiuld be ok), holler back at me! I thought there was a classified section on this forum , but I could not find it.
Thanks,
banannahead

There are links to the classifieds in two different places on the home page.

There are several storage facilities around Lake Carlyle where I have seen a number of abandoned cats. I'm sure if you spoke to the storage owners you may be able to get a deal on one. Not sure of the names of the facilities, but if you have a spare day, just head out that way and ask around. There are a couple between Hazlett and West access that are hard to miss.

Thanks,
I'll try to run up to lake Carlyle this weekend and look around. I've never been there, so now I have an excuse to go!
Thanks,
banannahead

If I come from St. Louis which roads/highways will I take to find the storage facilities at Hazlett and West access at Carlyle Lake?
Thanks,

Best bet is to go to West Access Marina shop and ask. I don't know the name of the road but it cuts through the country east of Hwy 127 between the West access campground and Hazlett State Park....it's about 4-5 miles and has several 90 degree bends in the road. One of the storage facilities is on one of those bends, another is right outside Hazlett. Good Luck...and BTW....we have a great Cat fleet out at Carlyle Sailing Assn...located by Hazlett.
