New Bootie from Sperry
Just orders a pair of these from Sperry:
They have drainage designed into the boot & sole. Look very grippy and may even been a bit stiffer than my Gul trap booties. They've got an internal big toe strap for added control...but it's removable...and since I wear drysuit with goretex feet I more than likely won't be using that.
Yes! I bought a pair at the 2008 Seattle NOOD. (discount)
And the Sperry guy told me in confidence that the RED ones are faster. <img src="<>/wink.gif" alt="wink" title="wink" height="15" width="15" />
They really to work great and offer excellent traction against the hulls. No scuff marks.

I have a dream
That one day
A man can walk into a shoe store
and find the shoe he wants
in the size he needs....

Caleb,
2008 was one of my busiest sailing seasons. And I wore those shoes in every regatta. I had NO problems with them holding up, and expect them to last another few seasons for sure.
The toes on this boot is protected by the sole which wraps up over the front. I just inspected mine and they show absolutely no wear on the toes. My trampoline is mesh also.
