Wow, what a reversal. I don't think anybody, even Alinghi, had any vision that this would be the outcome.
I think BMW should bring a lawsuit against the court for damages and money spent!

It is also notable the 2 of the 5 judges on the panel did not agree with the verdict which is pretty good ground for an appeal. This does give BMW a pretty good black eye though....pretty shocking.
After investing whatever they've invested in that secret boat that is probably ready to launch, I don't expect them to let it rest.
CNEV was completely unprepared for this outcome as well and already had contractual obligations for the next-next cup. If they withdraw their challenge it could put us back to square one with BMW/Oracle. One thing for sure...we'll probably not see any racing on the water anytime soon.
