I have been sailing a H16 for 2 years and also sail on 28fr racing cats.. I will need to replace sails and tramp soon plus would like to add a Euro style spin That adds up to a lot of cash to put into an old boat.. so considering what options I have for a new boat..

I would like to sail single handed (75kg) and with crew (150kg)
I sail in thbe ocean 8-20knt with some swell and chop
Keep the boat on a beach
No class racing here so any racing will be for fun against a very varied fleet
I live in Thailand so no second hand market or parts availiable except for Hobie stuff

What boats should I look at and what are the pros and cons
Thinking about ...
A new H16
F16 Viper
Hobie FX One
Taipan

Thanks

Well the Viper and Taipan are both made in Thailand, and there are dealers in Singapore. So that should make things easy for you. Also could pick up a Taipan second-hand from Singapore potentially (also may think a Viper could be for sale). Go to www.prosail-asia.com for more information.

Greg from AHPC catamarans delivered a new Viper somewhere in Thailand about a month back. You should contact him he will help you.

Siam,

F16 fits the bill; just remember the Viper is fairly heavy; make sure you can move it around on your own.
