The general consensus is that it is real, or a very very very good photoshop job!

Look below the first guy at the top of the boat (circled), there's a second just below him and you can see his arm. I don't believe that was a photoshop job. There are sequential photos showing the guys in the water (with rescue rings) and the boat upside down with the drives torn out from the strap...
