This boat was a Water Rat, and Ben had Mario Morelli of Playstation fame design and build a custom front end, new beams etc. Check out the rudder downhaul. Its a tube running from the transom to the deck, just behind the dagger.

The front beam attachement to the hull reminds a bit of the boat that Nils used during the worlds in Barcelona.
That boat was a refinement of the flyer. I'm not sure if any more of that version of the flyer has been built. See attachement.
I haven't checked the other pictures yet since they are quite large and I'm still using a modem....
