Can easily make a screenshot of the video if you need a picture instead of video, but video is a plus I think 🙂

There are some great pitchpoles in one of my favorite videos. It's on YouTube and called "Trouble at the Weekend.
Watch at 2:00-3:00 for the flips. I love the music, too.
How do you embed videos again?

In one of our mixed fleet races we were doing a screaming beam reach on a NACRA 5.8, we're hooked in, trapped out, block to block, standing on the rear beam, coming down the face of some nice waves, and creating a pretty nice roster tail...
All of a sudden the whole boat lifts up out of the water, the crew Peter Pans, then the bows comes down first and whammo..... I end up hitting the boat where the mast and main beam join.
Back at the club one of the sled sailors laments to some others
here comes this catamaran moving across the water like a screaming banshi... all of a sudden the thing cartwheels across the ocean... about a minute later they have it up and on their way... talk about death wish...
Wish I had a video... It would have made the contusion I had to deal with and the missed sailing for the next couple of weeks worth it....
WOW! Warning: Don't show these videos to a first time sailor!
Why is it, when you are on the boat, these little episodes seem less spectacular, than when you are watching at a distance? I can't count the number of times I've been asked by powerboats if we are OK after a dump.

Hah! Thanks for that one. I forgot about the music I wrote for the crash sequence in that one. Thanks to Brian for using my stuff! I wish I had more time for that.
