This is a modified reposting.
Consider this an open invitation to all beach catters who would enjoy some warm weather sailing in the Caribbean March 2003!

Here is a copy of the info
Robert Onsgard posted this on the Old Forum, but I thought I should put it here, too, since not everybody goes to both
forums:

Time to take your Cat down to Regatta in the Islands. We have arrangements
for round trip shipping Miami-St Thomas for the Rolex and BVI Spring
regattas. These regattas are back-to-back weekends from March 28th - April
6th, 2003. Sponsors are helping with the shipping, cost will be less than
$500 per boat. Accommodations are reasonable if you book soon. Contact me
to reserve your space in the container.
First ten boats go. Already have 3 Nacra 6.0/Spi.

Mary and All.
On behalf of all caribbean Cat Sailors, we invite you to come down and sail with us.

This year, Easter is in late April, which is the traditional Rolex race date. This year, the races are the last week of
March.

Water temperature is about 75 degrees F or so.

Air temperature is the lo 80's ( F again)

There is a separate class for Spinnaker boats.

IF YOU CAN GET 6 BOATS OF THE SAME RATING, WE CAN PETITION THE RC FOR YOUR OWN START! Tell us
ASAP on this!

A good idea on accomodations,....charter a boat from any of the many charterers down here,......then enjoy the
islands,...St. John, BVI,..St. T,.....and transport your cat by towing it to the BVI regatta

The Rolex is a 3 day race. In SPin class, there are Olympic training Tornados, I-20's and P-19mx plus a few more.

In non spin,..I-17, FX-1, H-16, H-18, P-19 and others.

First place gets a Rolex Watch!

BVI is a 3 day race,...plus they provide 'destination' races for those who come early.....a great venue.

It would be nice to see the F/HP 16 and 18 come......!
