Waiting to hear who will represent Hobie and Tornado, and we'll select a rotating fleet once that's pinned down.
Planning is going ahead smoothly - looks like a fun time on a boat that nobody can say they have alot of time on. Should be interesting!

Can you explain why Peter Nelson was named the Area H representative even though he was not present at the Area H qualifier?
The Area H qualifier did not meet the US Sailing minimum standards for an Eliminations event. Therefore that slot was open to petition by Area H sailors only. Two sailors submitted petitions for the slot.
But you knew that already, right? 
Thanks for the reply. I already knew some of that. What I wanted to know is how the Area H representative was choosen based on the petitions that were received. The qualifier was held, but later declared invalid (or whatever you want to call it). I think it would make more sense to choose a representative from the area who actually made an effort to compete in the qualifier (without knowing that it would be declared invalid). That is assuming that the second person to petition for the spot did sail in the qualifier (which I don't know, but suspect).
Your veiled assertion is simply inaccurate. I'd be happy to continue the discussion via less-anon e-mail. Otherwise, find another pot to stir.
