I'm new to the Prindle 19. Any suggestions as to mast setup or prebend; and if prebend is suggested - how much? It's the stock pinhead rig. Cheers,
BB.

I have the factory book as well as Randy's guide that came with the Smyth mylar (Pentex? I'm not sure, but they are dead now) pinhead sail. Tune is dramatically different for the Dacron and high tech pinheads. Do you know if the sail was cut for prebend? To my understanding, most of the pinheads were not, while the MX's were. Anyway, I'll be in Austin briefly each of the next two fridays; where is your boat? Simplest, really, tho, would probably be to copy and mail you what I have. My email is on my profile.

The original sails that came with my '95 P19 were Ullman pinheads. In their tuning guide they recommended you make your diamond wires as tight as possible without inducing pre-bend. You should be able to get a tuning giude from the manufacturer of your sails. This will make your boat go faster, sooner.
