Is it possible to race a Trac 16? I'm not up to speed on the racing scene......is there a class I can race?

You can always race portsmouth.

Where are you? There were pretty good Trac 16 Fleets years ago. There might be someone who remembrs how to tune them

Unfortunately I'm on the East coast. Greenville, SC. I didn't know there were Trac fleets......would like to find some of those people.

I would like to do some racing. (without buying a different cat)

I thought there may be open fleet racing.....but like I said...I really know nothing about cat racing.

Are you a member at Western Carolina? There's a couple out there. If that doesn't work, race Portsmouth like the rest of us with

dead

boats. Also, check with the local Hobie fleet, especially on Keowee. They're some of the nicest guys you'll meet. If you've raced before, just jump on in. If not, get a good racer to explain the important rules to you, and maybe crew for someone with experience a couple times.

Good luck.

Actually...I'm getting ready to join SEACATS......which actually is in Columbia.....Lake Murray. I've heard there are three Trac 16's there already...

I haven't raced yet...so I will do the study before I start.

But it is good to know I can atleast race .
