Restoration of an A-cat,

After a big storm last year we did found my friends A-cat, on a strange place with severe damage.

The cat had flipped backwards and damaged one hull, broke the mast and boom.
Needless to say, we were not happy and we were facing a lot of work.
We had to restore one hull, replace the mast and boom.
We also took the opportunity to give the boat a [color] .

In the picture below you can see the final result.

I will publish a complete report (with pictures) later this month.

We will test it hopefully next weekend.

What kind (manufacturer) of A-cat is that? Where did you get the mast? Did you paint it? Nice work!

The a Cat is a PESA build by Piet Saarberg, The mast is a used carbon mast ( Italian made ) and yes it's painted (with a paintroller).

If anyone is interested we do have more pictures of the restoration.

We did get the mast in a very strange way, at one day we were working on the cat when a guy came along and did ask if we needed some spares, he did help us with the mast and a new used mainsail.
He also pormissed us to tune the rig as soon as we start to test the cat.
What are the odds finding a guy like that ???
