i use to steer with 2 hands once i reached a certain speed, now i hope that all will change!

the 27'?, 8.5mtr nz GBE cats had the same raked rudders and same heavy helm until they also got their rudders back to vertical

note the line drawing here shows the original system but the photo shows the common mod

How does a design like that get off the drawing and into a production boat? Seems like they would have balanced the rudders before going into production.

It was designed in 1973 ; so i think the idea was that a raked
rudder would produce less drag , (maybe) ?

Anyway, that sure would be the Perfect camping boat for
kite-boarding, if it could be tailored !!!

There was a Reynolds 21 with a narrowed beam for easier trailering for sale in the Tampa area not too long ago.

I'd have been tempted to buy it if it were still full-width.
