Righting bag leaks.... any suggestions how to seal?d i
This past weekend i let a friend use my Murray's righting bag because he wanted to see if he could right his Mystere 6.0 (with wings).
He had lots of troubles. He couldn't right his boat and we needed to assist.
i noticed water was leaking out of the bag. He said it wouldn't hold water... i didnt think it was that bad... and i have used the bag before.. but i didn't notice it leaking in the past.
I thought about using Tent Sealer.
Anyone else have this problem?
Any one have any suggestions?
Yes tami, i know they are not
absolutely watertight
but the water was coming out so fast that it my friend couldn't right the boat.
waterbug_wpb, these systems as they are a bit of a task to get them filled and lifted. I could only imagine adding a second bag inside would be almost impossible to manage.
Most times i have capsized, it was in a bad place at a bad time and speed was
of the essence
.
That being said.. i went to Wide World of Wally today and got the spray sealer. Also a new air horn and doggie treats.
I will test the bag in a few days and see if this handled it.. i think it will.
Thanks,
