Take a look and cheer for our boys Robbie Daniel and Eric Jacobsen and their support/coach Jill Nickerson! They didn't even have to race the last race. They did very well against the best. USA takes top spot at this one.

I don't know, maybe I'm just a sick individual, but considering today's political climate, I'm getting a thrill out of seeing the "dirty warmongering Americans" beat out the French for first, and not having to race the whole regatta to do it 😛
Sure would be nice to see some American Tornado sailors do well in Europe this spring!

Don't you think that for now your comment is really misplaced?
World peace is at stake and you are mixing this with some futile tornado race. I can see that nobody feels easy with what is going on, even on this forum: I do not see the familiar european/USA fight (Wooter? Sam?).
Please respect this, like everybody does.

He claims to have a set of Taipan 4.9 plans, but he said he was modifying the deck design for his Tiafoon.
So basically he is stealing 95% of the Taipan design, cheating them out of their fees, and taking credit for "designing" a "new" boat.

I know it may be difficult to laugh when you know that those French oilfields in Iraq are going to get lit up like the 4th of july.

Ahahhaha, it means "annoyance" but basically, the way I was taught to use it in context, is when you want to describe someone as a pain in the butt. 😛
Okay, lest we miseducate fellow forum users, I have to report that I could not find the word in my new Webster's Unabridged Dictionary. I did find it in my older edition and it is listed only as an obsolete adjective meaning laborious, painful or painstaking (as in, "digging a ditch is a penible chore").
But since the dictionary evidently dropped it, I see no reason why it cannot be reborn as a noun with whatever meaning you want to give it.
Meanwhile, I would hesitate to use it in a Scrabble game.
