The coverage was amazing! Live cam all the way around. Hope some of the highlights are saved and made into a video.

Who was sailing the second M20 with Kristian, his girlfriend?

That is amazing. I noticed that she was helming while Kristian did all the trimming.

Results service was excellent as well. And having the video feed full-screen at decent resolution all the time, just fantastic. Next thing is full-time tracking of all boats I suppose <img src=

FANTASTIC! Just tuned in in time for the finish and trophy presentation! That girl is very attractive and a hell of a sailor!

I'm so envious, nothing like this in the USA! <img src=

Just saw some recorded footage...I am just blown away by the level of professionalism in organizing this race

You can tell sailing is something that really lives in the hearts and minds of the Dutch people...Something to be very proud of.

The coverage at least made me want to go there. But not with the Tornado (too high rating). Wouter and Tony, if I come down all the way from Norway, will you do the race?
85km sounds like a nice distance, if there is wind.. Has it ever been cancelled or shortened?

Brian: Your problem might have several causes. The first thing to do is install Firefox and VLC (Maughan, watch the blood pressure) <img src=

When you come to a page with a video that will not play, the error message is usually clear at the top of the browser window. I find it easier to isolate errors in Firefox than IE..

Texel, Saturday 17 June 2006 Remco Kenbeek and Paul brouwer became with their F18 Capricorn the overall winners of the 29ste Zwitserleven round for texel. Announced in a packed up tent and Chris Zegers, names the Dutch on Saturday night 17 June 2006 their prices in reception. Their projection proved to be only forty seconden on Hans Primowees, which solo with 26-jaar old Prindle 15 the waddeneiland rounded off.

F18-wereldkampioenen hover Bundock and Glenn Ashby (OWS) finished place on the third. The variable need northwest wind made of it a cumbersome race, which was accomplished by 396 catamarans.

we sail five years together and he the best crew which I ever have have been had

, said to Kenbeek on the podium concerning its half-measure Paul brouwer. The men stood the previous years already more often on the podium of the Zwitserleven round for texel, but never on the highest trede. To hover Bundock stood already sometimes, but were today badly gone there. Bundock: We had clear ourselves gone forward. When the wind on the wad after Vc-boei were omitted, we let us pass through under many boats. We lay almost in first position overall and even even for Remco. He got the bries only earlier than we and afterwards he had left. In the rak to Oudeschild it became just as bladstil. There seemed sit a bries on sea, therefore many teams applauded there naartoe. Then the wind under the side and sheaves came set up the catamarans as a result, under the rest of the fleet. This way gambled team Zwitserleven Booth/Dercksen, but also Carolijn brouwer and Sebbe Godefroid the chance on line honours.

old junk

whereas the booty seemed be, Hans Primowees went out beverwijk district from nothing almost vandoor. By the luidspreker was hear that he was removed after 5:23:20 hours seconden still some of the triumph. Its woman shouted Liesbeth as from the range which he had go by. On the line it seemed even that Primowees were the winner, but he nevertheless appeared come converted forty seconden shortage. Primowees: I have had ordinary luck. It a strange day with strange wind was. On the wad I have caught up with certain two - or three hundred cats, which went all to sea. At the first gate the solozeiler fell still overboard:

I had suncream to my hand, therefore I slipped then I on the fuselage supported.

To be Second place call overall is not only onverwachts, but also remarkable. Primowees sailed, as it happens, with one 26-jaar old Prindle 15 and with twelve years old sail. He paid a long time ago two thousand guilders. Primowees:

and I have a dent in my mast, as a result of which rotates badly that.

Liesbeth Primowees did not keep dry it at night at the distribution: It is this way beautiful. Not sponsored and with its own old junk. Really foolish.

To hover Bundock were possible there, however, to laugh that he had let the Prindle go 15-zeiler for: That is ordinary cool. I have in former days also sailed on Prindle.

Top five end results Zwitserleven round for texel 2006:

1. Kenbeek/brouwer (NED), F18, 4:13:58 hours corrected time
2. Primowees (NED), Prindle 15, 4:14:36 hours corrected time
3. Bundock/Ashby (OWS), F18, 4:15:39 hours corrected time
4. Huntelman/time
5. Heemskerk corrected of of the camp, F18, 4:18:46 hours/the farmer, F18, 4:19:06 hours corrected time

I guess we'll all runout and buy Prindle 15's now !

I know it was cancelled in 2000, as I had made the trip from the UK, two ferry journeys and a whole heap of fuel towing my H16, only to have it cancelled on the morning of the event <img src=

There was a big group of us from my sailing club so we still had a good time, its just a shame we didn't get to sail. To be honest if you like cats its worth going just for the atmosphere.

During the race everything came in great with results coming in as soon as they occurred. After the first 46 finishers I had to go to the beach, Dunedin Florida, to watch the first of the 8 new F-18 Capricorns that arrived in the container at Clerawater FL on Friday hit the water. Now I can not find the link to the results corrected/elapsed results with boat type. The video starts at the beginning of the race and the results don't come up. Any hints?

I'm always conservative in naming the Spitfire boats as F16's in situations like these, because I can guess what kind of reply that will get.

But indeed the Spitfire did very well. It also came in before the A-cats (elapsed time) !

Well done

Well. nice sailing job from Hans Primowees. Sailed last years against him on a HC16 in the Texel Dutch Open in the week prior to Round Texel and always lost.

This year in the first match of the Texel Dutch open we pitchpoled with our Hobie Tiger F18 in high waves and I injured my hand. My helm nevertheless could sail Round Texel with another guy. Especially the part between the Lighthouse and Oudeschild was tricky. Boats just floating around in a no-wind zone for almost an hour !
I think that's also a reason for Hans being in the top at the end. The complete field of 430 cats (considerably less than 2005) regrouped after the Lighthouse.

Must admit : the organisation is very well, somewhat commercial for spectators but ok ! And there is a very friendly atmosphere at all the gates. Loads of spectators cheering for the sailors (even the last boat) when passing.
A little bit like the New York marathon.

Indeed
From the class rules:
The design and development of the Spitfire catamaran is directed towards strict onedesign
classes where the true test is between sailors and sailing skill, and not boats.
