Now is the time to begin planning for the 2017 edition of The Florida 300+, there will be a limit of 25 boats accepted to race, 6 teams are now planning to come from Europe, and some of the teams from last year will be returning. That leaves only a few spaces for the race, so sign up early at sailseriespromotions.com
There are many great things in the works for this race, we will start at the Islander in Islamorada, and finish at The Ocean Deck in Daytona again, but this year the Trophy presentation will be Saturday Night after all boats are in.
More to be listed; Stay tuned to the official web sight.

Online race registration will be available on the https://www.sailseriespromotions.com website soon, probably by January 1, 2017. The NOR is being finalized now, as well as some details that need to be clear to anyone registering. Once registrations are being taken there will be an entry list.

It's important to note that the official website for the Florida 300 is https://www.sailseriespromotions.com and NOT Florida300(dot)com which unfortunately is no longer associated with the race. So please update any bookmarks or links you may have.

As far as help with the SSPUSA website, that would be great, please contact me directly with what you have in mind.

I can't speak for the organizers or the teams coming, but I have been in on some of the email traffic and am friends with one of the teams that is likely coming.

What I've seen says that this is a serious effort, not a hypothetical situation and they will likely be on F-18's.

Update 13 spots taken, 12 spots left.
There are 4 that will be signing up soon.
So figure 8 available registrations, if you are thinking about Racing,
Sign up before the discount deadline of the end of February.
Doesn't cost anything to get on the list for your spot to be held.

This is going to be awesome, I think I can state that it will be the most Nacra 20 Carbon ever to race against each other in North America.

Thanks go to Kirk Newkirk at Key Sailing in Pensacola Beach for pushing the class, in the process he has created some serious competition for his team! Hope he and Coach Tom Whitehurst are hitting the gym!

We now have six firm N20C entered.

(I say

we

because I am on the board of the nonprofit SSPUSA that runs the race.)
