...mailed to my home address.

Everybody needs gloves, all the time. Ditto with knives. (the sea floor is littered with my sailing knives, some of them expensive)

Annapolis Performance Sailing has a Gift Ideas tab at the top of their Homepage, catering to every budget. Also up that way is a link to their nifty Holiday Catalog, which I noticed has some good deals when I pulled out of the mailbox a couple of weeks ago.

There's also the ever popular Gift Certificate, where your Giftees can take advantage of the post Holiday Sales; and are certain to get something they want/need at the moment...no fishing for hints or mind-reading required!

Was it for the GoPro HD, GoPro2 or GoPro 960?

The 960 is great for web and will serve most uses.
The HD if you want to play on big screen and use for 1080 projects.
The Hero2 is more of a professional use and will have the capability for WiFi connection when they launch the new BacPak.

A new boat in the stocking is always a winner.

I've got the Gopro 960 and it is fine for shooting Youtube videos in 720p.
My experience is that YT videos in 1080p just dont stream very smoothly, regardless of your bandwidth.

It is more a problem with computer hardware not bandwidth. The computer can't process the video at that resolution. I had to get a new computer to even play some of files I record. I have a camera that records at 60 fps progressive and I don't bother using that setting except in rare situations.

Now I have to get a different computer to edit properly. The software I use creates shadow (smaller) files but it takes a while for the computer to create them. When you are working with multiple layers, the computer still stalls in previewing them.

Upload videos in 1080p please. I have no problem playing them very very smoothly. A fully loaded desktop computer with gobs of ram and tons of cpus helps, but having a YouTube developer team working on the same floor helps even more <img src="<>/smile.gif" alt="smile" title="smile" height="15" width="15" />
