Hey Rick and Mary, just wanted to give you the heads up, apparently a bunch of sailing-related websites have been hacked by some Brazilians. So far the int 505 site, the Mumm 30 site, the Farr 40 site and the Carrol Marine site have all been hacked. I just pulled down a backup of my sailing site just in case.

What does that mean, "hacked"? What do they do? What happens?

they deface the site, putting up some kind of banter.
Getting "hacked" means that somehow, a person gains access to your webserver, and overwrites all the content on your website with whatever they want. At least in the case of website defacing.

Hmmm. Just sounds like our old forum is most of the time.
