Because the cat skippers scared the women away when they started buying faster, more powerful boats with bigger sails and got real SERIOUS about their racing. It used to be a couples sport.

Those were the fun days.

We are lucky enough to have some cs chicks in our club. Most have crewed for me at some stage.

Unfortunately we have lost a few to motherhood.

I've taken quite a thrashing from several women on the course, so to say women are less serious about the game than men... well that is just wrong. It's old news about the exodus of women from cat sailing. It's part of why so many men are now going to single-handers.

You and Kathy are an exception. So kick me out of the

But why in the world would we want the sport we (men) clearly love to be an exclusive sausage fest? Almost all the men I know don't even like sausage. Good grief if it were not for the bun life wouldn't be worth living.
