You might want to edit your post and remove all of the email addresses you published. Doug Snell posted my email address on the forum a couple of months ago and within a couple of days I started receiving 5-15 SPAM emails a day at an address that had never seen a junk email before. It was a disappointment to say the least.

I didn't really think about that. On further thought, these people are all getting the same

pitch

as I am. The reason for my post was to show that the scammers take a generic

pitch

and send it to a lot of people. My original post was a copy and paste of the email I received. I really don't think the scammer intended to include all the emails he sent to.

Anyway, Rick is busy, but when he has time he has my permission to delete the entire post. At this point, it is too late for me to modify the post.

If anybody wants to name an e-mail adres in their post then it is best to do it as follows :

somebody(at)host.com

Just replace the @-character with (at)

This takes care of most spamming issues.

We don't have a edit post feature anymore. At least I don't after the first time you post it

It's true. At least with the old system I only had 24h(?) to edit a post, maybe a little bit less, before it is locked in cyberspace stone. Haven't tried on the new server.

Christopher:

I am so sorry about that. I have learned to use the name at blank dot blank dot com rule from now on. Again I am so sorry.

Doug,
The Edit feature is still there, same as before. The difference is that it only appears with the posts that you make, and it only appears for the period during which you can still edit the post -- I assume that is six hours, same as before.
