Perhaps you might know where the registered sailors are coming from? With a few exceptions it looks more of a local crowd this year? Perhaps gas prices and the war are taking a toll.

Could the Tybee 500 be taking boats away from Spring Fever? With 33 teams registered for the Tybee 500 (several of which were at last year's Spring Fever) there may be many who don't have the time to do both.
sam: I'd actually do this race if I didn't have family plans for Easter weekend. Theres always next year.
