Now that weather is finally getting a bit nicer here in NC, we can finally start sailing all the time. Attached is a pic of Tad and I sailing off the coast of Morehead City, NC 2 weekends ago, and I wanted to share it. Check out www.velocitysailing.com for more pics and stories.

Jake, you about ready to put the blue boat in the water?

It looks like the blue boat is going to be unveiled in Atlanta at the Gone With the Wind Regatta the week before the Tybee. It's going to the booth this weekend ([shamless plug] updates at www.teamseacats.com [/shameless plug]) There is still a good bit to be done but there should be plenty of time.

Geeze, Trey, could you sheet in that spinnaker ANY tighter? Looks more like JIB-ZILLA (as we call it when it's sheeted so hard it looks like one)...

And just ONE more reason I like it down here. I don't think I even own (much less wear) that much cold weather sailing gear.... But I do have the hood I bought for Tradewinds 2004. It may still have the tag on it...

Ha, I am driving. Good ol' Maugan (aka Tad) is up front . I was leaning in to grab the traveler line.

So now we know who wears the pants and calls the shots on this boat.

I do.

As for sheeting the "chute" in so far.... we were spinnaker reaching. Damn skip wouldn't bear off to keep the chute full so I cranked the damn thing down to keep it flying or else I was gonna get teabagged.

(in Trey's defense, there was a nasty nasty sandbar that we later found just to leward of us in that pic)
