That sucks did they take them off your boat at the club? What color is your mainsheet?

There are some posted in August on this sites classifieds. Probably not yours, just FYI.

Sorry to hear that, I hope it is not from a fellow sailor. I've always felt that my stuff is pretty safe at regattas. I used to lock up my blocks, hotstick, harness, and any thing else of value that could easily walk off, but lately I've gotten more lax about it.

Sad fact is that only a sailor would want kit like that and only a sailor of a similar boat with some skills would need it. I live by the sea in an area where seasonally thieves will operate. All of the blocks on my boat were stolen before I purchased it when the owner went for lunch. Police have always been clear here. Mark the kit slightly with sharp object in a specific way and use a little dab of paint. keep the paint tin and it can be matched. : (

Boy, those sure sound similar...although I can't believe it would be THAT easy.

thanks guys, my mainsheet is Dyneema, lime green and tapered. They cut the split tail off the traveler end. I have left my boat on the beach at CSC for a couple of years during sailing season and nothing has ever been stolen. I doubt very seriously it was anyone affiliated with my club, I think they are probably some local kids with a beater boat that needed some blocks. It sux because if thats the case, I would have just given them some old blocks just to get them sailing.
Thanks again

This is the ad off the beachcats. Don't think they are yours as sheet is blue. I always take everything I can off mine.

Good Luck

I don't want to be a downer but I kept oars under my dinghy for three odd years with no trouble until one day....
So I thought I would just replace them with nice new ones thinking that the thief had what he wanted and I could go back to idyllic summers. within a week the new pair were gone and I realised what the game was.
Good luck with it.
