I need sunglasses that fit over my (rather large) glasses, and that will stay on no matter what happens when we're sailing.

Anybody have recommendations?

And what about hats for those of us who have a lot of skin cancer in the family?

I wear Blueblockers over my coke-bottle bottoms.
I drilled a hole in each temple and put a string around the back. Only ones I lost were new ones without the string- on a lead sled trip. They even warranty them when you sit on them..... be careful with scratches tho. Lick them off and they will last for years BUT DONT RUB.

WalMart has some awsome clip-ons. Fairly cheap and polarized. They spring clip around the frame. Ultratek is the brand. They have some relitively cheap prescription sunglasses as well.

Ya'll should see my adidas sunglasses I have.

the perscriptions click in behind the sunglasses lenses. If you were looking at them, you couldn't even tell they were perscription.

Step 1: LASIK surgery; I'm friends with the LASIK surgeons at Duke and could facilitate a consultation for you.

Step 2: Use inexpensive wrap-around sunglasses when on the water.

Alternative 1: Get fitted with soft contact lenses, then use inexpensive sunglasses. Certain brands block UV rays also.

Alternative 2: Wrap around sunglasses that will fit over your glasses

Good Luck.

For a good selection of Rx sunglasses including Oakleys which in my experience stay on the face pretty well try http://www.visiblespectrum.net

This is definitely better than getting lenses from your local optometrist.

I'm in love with oakleys, but good god, I just priced out a pair of waterjackets with prescription lenses and it came to like $500!!!!

I can get a pair of lenses in my clic goggles for $30 at my local optomitrist.
