[#10240]

Hello all, I just purchased my 1st sailboat & have a number of questions...I've lived on a small inland lake for 30 yrs and have been one of the "other" boaters; found a very nice SC17, have been sailing a whole week and am HOOKED.

Does anybody have any tips / info / etc. on tuning a supercat ?

I've found it's too big a grin to stay on my small lake, where does everybody sail on the west side of the state?

Any guidance would be appreciated, and if you see a guy on a SC17 #683 that looks like he has a low awareness factor have patience & throw me a cold one...I've seen the light & I'm learning to sail.

thanks,

Davey

Get a hold of these guys... http://www.websitemagic.com/cram/ as they are the local catamaran fleet nearest you. They will probably be the best resource for your sailing needs.

Welcome to the greatest sport on the water! You may want to check out/contact the guys at aquarius-sails.com. They are the folks that were involved in the design and may be able to give you some tuning tips. The best thing to do is get to know the locals in Michigan and sail with them. If you tell them you are new to the sport, I am sure you will get 10 years of knowledge in the first few weeks of sailing with them.

I'm in the scenario with a sc19. Let me know if you learn anything worth passing on. Thanks!
