Tampa, FL - Redington Beach???

I'm going to Tampa the week of Aug 3, and the Family is coming along for their vacation. Suggestions about Redington and Tampa area? Eating, Enterainment day or evening? Kids are 9 and 7.
I recall having a grouper sandwich down there somewhere . . . at somepoint...its amazing how it all kid of fades together . . . except for the times like when TAWd is about to pass you and another boat tries to slam the door on both of us and was only able to trap TAWd. That is clear as the tuna sandwich sittin right in front of me right now...:)
If you're going to stay at Grand Shores West in North Redington Beach, they have a couple of Waves available to check out for free. I've gone there for two weeks every February, for about 17 years. The Double-Tree (formerly Hilton) rents Getaways, Waves, Wave-Runners, and those stupid water tricycles.
The Lobster Pot is over-rated, over-priced and poor service. The Wine Cellar is very good, the Frog Pond is great for a big breakfast. The best hole-in-the-wall is Wahoo Seafood. The best grouper sandwich is Dockside Dave's. Crabby Bill's is touristy, but good (TIP: get carry-out from their seafood market; they'll cook it, and take it back to the beach). Don't miss the Kandy Kitchen for retro candy and ice cream.
if your in the area, a nice drive up through clearwater beach is worth it. There are a few
Frenchies
but the one just north of Clwtr beach is my fav. They have a KILLER She Crab soup! KILLER!
Othere great resturnat is the Island Way grill.. in clearwater (on the causeway to main land)
