I was just coming to post this. Looking forward to it.

There is a

How it is Made

marathon all day, but this is in the 9pm episode. It is in an episode with a couple of other things, so don't give up if it is not shown first.

Their website has a ton of stuff on it (I didn't spend enough time to see if entire episodes were available), so you may be able to watch it sometime in the future.

All of the How its Made episodes are also available as Torrents btw, for those who don't get Discovery.

There is also an episode showing the manufacture of North 3D laminated sails. Pretty impressive stuff.

here is one example. there seem to be multiple youtube channels devoted to it. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzOuiO_Hm0fVw_ZSdJvn6SA

The Hobie Cat factory was covered by John Ratzenberger's Made in America, another great series.

The History Channel used to run random episodes of How It's Made, too. Might be able to get a link to them from that channel?

Managed to find it yesterday on my cable box. I like how Matt Factory installs the rudders and checks their operation 😛
Looks like had a great day for doing on the water shots. Gina was the star of the segment
😀

And how could she not be? Like we want to stare at Matt's ugly mug. <img src="<>/laugh.gif" alt="laugh" title="laugh" height="15" width="15" />

I'll have to look on YouTube for it. We don't have broadcast tv, we download our stream everything.

Dude, you really need to move south, at least to Canada, I think they have TV there.

If you take the aluminum foil off the rooftops, windows and ceilings. You may get a better signal.

just FYI the title never mentions

racing catamarans

, I think its a tachometer that's suppose to air on that show. Luckily I waited it out and Matt and Gina were the last segment.

I recorded it and watched last week. Fun for us sailors to see cats sailing! Too short and a bit confusing to anyone who had never seen a similar process. These segments go by fast. They spent some time showing the foam core being formed to fit the hull. Some time on the vacuum bagging and resin infusion process. Then the final frame assembly. What did it say? 6 weeks to build a boat?

Wait, you're a gun-hoarding DEMOCRAT? It's too late, the aliens have clearly already done their damage and moved on.

I recall seeing kayaks being made years ago, not sure who the manufacturer was

Have they been to Hobie?

They should! (if they haven't)
