It is easy to rig a trapeze to the Wave. It would look like any other trapeze. The problem is that requires having a hiking stick added to the tiller crossbar. It also requires having a trapeze harness. Then you end up taking away one of the best features about the Wave - its simplicity! After you mess around with that and other things (like a headsail) then you will go back to the original rig and be happy again. It is human nature to always want to do something else and then while you do that, wish you were doing what you were before. Enjoy the Wave for what it offers you... easy sailing fun. If you are really set on adding the trapeze, 170# is not too heavy. It just takes more wind to use it and fly a hull.
