I am not trying to stir the pot, i am just curious what the outcome was of the spinnakers separating at the event.

Were they replaced by the manufacturer?

I think you're in for a great series of stories from satisfied customers.

I got my spin repaired, reinforced and sent back to me.

Along with a brand new spin since mine was under warranty.

So I'm pleased.

We tried to baby ours when it came apart and when it went, it went big tearing multiple panels. Though we didn't get a repaired kite because of the extensive damage to our original, we did receive a brand new replacement spinnaker from E/P that even included all the reinforcement tricks we had been doing to spinnakers before the Tybee on our own...I'm quite pleased.

I should add to my last comment that, although there have been quality issues with the EP/Nacra Class sails, they have allways made good on them. I do wish they get to a point where they are consistently good from the factory. In the past, I (and others I know of) have had custom sails made (a spinn for my Hobie 21se) and they were TOP quality. Skipp even sent mine and said try it first then pay for it. I don't know of any other sail makers that would do that.
On the same subject, Calvert made me a main and jib for the same boat and the main had some quality issues and I had to send it back after one race. They fixed it and it got sent to the wrong address never to be seen again. Dave Calvert had the nerve to ask me to help pay for a new one since I used it once and the sail was

depreciated

. Luckily I had a relative who was an attorney send them a letter and got it resolved after 3 months without a sail.
In comparison, E/P's customer service is top notch. I would say by any standard, they are.

Good info Lee, thanks.
Funny, i have been thinking about using Calvert recently. A friend had a Load Path main made (looks great, but had some tape coming lose after 2 months), a load path jib and a spin. He decieded the spin wasn't cut right (even though he brought the cat down to Calvets shop in st pete) and trimmed the spin himself...

Amazing how everybody loves to HATE on Lawyers.. till they need one (not saying you fit this... but in general)
