US Multihull Championships start Friday
The US Multihull Championship for the Alter cup begins today in Bristol RI.
14 Sailors are racing A cats for the single handed version of the Alter cup... (double handed sloop and double handed spin are the other flavors).
I think its going to be tough to beat Lars Guck... but Chris Brown and Andrew Gaynor were tops in the fleet at the Newport Regatta this summer.
Looks like they will have a decent amount of twitter coverage...
I suspect Lars will have his own take on how to fly an A cat... should be interesting..
on the plus side... they can publish a starting sequence...
Not a fan of the hyperlapse but if it's that or nothing then hyperlapse will do.

No, no it will not. What's worse than a moving platform? A moving platform sped up. Nothing screams that our (fastest) boats are too slow more than the cameraman/ editor being too bored to watch and broadcast at real time speed. Wow...
On the plus side, photographic evidence of the inverted class flag (just one class all day/every day) gives me years of blackmail possibilities with Matt Hill (the PRO)...
Matt, you were the wingman, right? What did that conversation sound like???

Signal, signal, signal - Pin
Go ahead Pin, this is signal.
Are you in distress?
Actually, that's what I asked on the practice race, when he did it then, too.
The video is the start of race 2, not long after Andrew Gaynor broke his t-foil on my spare anchor line, which was on a float (and weighted down, but he caught it anyway). I figured I owed Matt one after that, since my actions were the cause of the redress hearing.
