If you have a subject you would like to see on the Portsmouth, MHC or Alter agendas, please send an email to any of the following:
Multihull Council: Art Stevens at aj.stevens@worldnet.att.net
Alter Cup: Jamie Diamond at jamie.diamond@sailocra.com
Portsmouth: Darline Hobock at hobockd@aol.com
You are invited to attend all meetings except two that are closed. It’s your chance to have face-to-face input on subjects near and dear. I hope to hear from you and to see you there. If you think you’ll attend, please drop me a note at hobockd@aol.com so we will be sure to have enough chairs in the meeting rooms.
Thanks.
Darline
DH, I have two probably silly questions:
1. If a catamaran sailor who lives out there near the meeting site wants to just drop in for the Multihull Council meetings, does he or she still have to officially register for the whole AGM, or can they just let you know they are coming?
2. If a sailor comes to the multihull council meetings, is he or she allowed to participate in the discussion and give input, or do they just sit and listen? (I realize they cannot vote on anything.)
Mary, to answer your questions:
1. Registration is not a requirement for attending one or more meetings at the AGM. I think US SAILING (like other groups) wants some record of attendees. Committee members are expected to register.
2. Attendees are allowed and encouraged to participate in the discussion and give input. If they represent a multihull organization that is a member of US SAILING, they may vote.
