Aside from being straight, what else should I look for in a used Prindle 16 mast? I'm buying my first boat without a mast and have nothing for a comparison check.

I would pull up the manual from performancecat.com to make sure that all (at least most) of the mast hardware is with it. If it is not there, at least you know what kind of rigging you are going to have to do to get it ready to sail. Also, after you get it, you might want to test it to make sure it is water tight before you step it. The easiest way is to submerge it at a quiet beach before installing it.
