Thanks to Scooby Simon and Karl for pointing out I already had windows movie maker and Rolf's fixing it this was amazingly easy to do as my first effort. Danny those waves looked 10 times higher to me on the boat and the last song was another Fleetwood Mac appropriately titled
Thats enough for me
as we turned around and went back to the beach.

Jeff, great stuff, next time you two go out in similar conditions, try letting the crew work the mainsheet, that will give him/her something to hang onto and stabilze him to the boat, while you can concentrate on steering the waves. All you have to do is say,
Ease
, or
Trim
and after a few minutes you two will get in a rythm and go much faster, easier. If you want to hang on to something too, grab the traveler line.
And put a foot strap at the back for your aft foot to give yourself more stability when you stuff a big wave, that way you can stay put and hang onto him if he starts to slide foreward. I love it when it blows like that!

When the downhaul pulley got pulled off the mast he went in and sorted the tangle so we could get some downhaul on but he just loves the ride even though his 50 year old crook back keeps him holding the trap handle. I had my foot in the rear strap which was why I didn't go up and down when John did and the waves didn't wash me around.

I've only sailed her 8 times now and thats where the trap lines were Hullflyer, my wife and John have been happy but don't know any better. If I changed it to out the beams would that stabilize the crew more?
The Camera's Oregon Scientific ATC-2K dimensions about 6inches X 2 inches tube and takes a 2GB SD card, giving approx 59 mins of video. It picked up none of our audio only crackling due to the wind, its rated as water resistant and did get immersed. I've had it about 2 years but only used it a few times. I made a mount using 25mm ali tube with thick wall that clamps to the bottom of the dolphin striker, goes out through the jib bridal lashed to the striker on the bridal to give it some slip. I bent it up 1 ft about 3 ft past the bridal to give it about 4 ft clearance from the ground. How do I lower the audio?
regards Jeff
Depends on what software you are using to make your movies. most software will have an
audio level
adjustment somewhere when you add the audio. on a mac/i-movie there is a video track and and audio track. Other video software may have a number based level, or some othere method of lowering your audio input.
Very nice I love a neat looking wave jump, what boat did you use in the Statue of Liberty Race? and how did you go?
Please don't tell me I have to read instructions to make the audio work <img src=

regards
I'm using windows movie maker, I might try and modify the video on youtube for a bit of practice. Its definately the base causing the distortion so I'll have to try and find the control for that. If its not the base it may well be my heart beat coming through <img src=
