Wanna see some Caribbean Cat Sailing pics?
Hello!
Is it a little cold outside (..colder than your freezer, at least..
)
...and you want to happily waste some online time looking at Cats-in-regatta pics?
...well get the popcorn ready and turn up those electric socks (...I used to have some in my Ohio days
)
...go to
http:/
...and check out the 2003 gallery,..there is a surprizing amount of cat pics....
..here are some of those you will see;
*Soul Surfer I-20..
*Rick Bliss and Brandy and the yellow 6.0..
*the Glasers on the F18..
*another white 6.0 from upstate East coast..( forgot their *names,..daaaa)
*the H 17 USS Enterpoop
Locals;
*E.Figeroua Peurto Rico Tornado (...ranked #12 in World now)
*Terry Jackson, St. Thomas, Tornado ( Metro Ford)

others,....HArpers' FX1 and my I-17 only made the on-the-beach pics,..oh well
...enjoy!!!
....come on down,....Rolex is March 26-27-28,.......I believe a container comes out of Miami to ship boats
round trip very cheaply....
stick around for the next weekend, the BVI Spring Regatta,...6 days racing in 10 calender days,....not bad!

I-17
..are these not great pics....
,,,I am trying to remember his name,...Tom Aqcuint (..misspelled for sure)....real nice guy,......
..funny thing was,...I pulled out of this day sailing,...they sent us on the Atlantic Ocean side of St. Thomas,.....waves to frequent and steep and just all over the place,........this H17 stayed out!
...this is a real good configuration,..the wings,.....plus look at that healing force generated by hiking out 8 feet from the hull,....I have been thinking about putting them on the I-17 ( from the daggarboard to the rear beam).....they have merit for single-handers! ( in big waters)
..I believe,..on this day,...the H-17 broke a trap wire,...as Tom told me,...and in the drink he went,....Tom said he had a Kevlar redundant line,...knot slipped under the sudden load,...it is ok, water temp is 76 f or so.
....maybe Mary can verify shipping costs,....do not want to give mis information,....I think is you flew the Tropical Shipping logo,....price was in the pennies.....
..come on down!

H-17 being competative?..........Tom proved it t me,......the ratings put the H-16, H-17 , FX1 and !-17n real close,....so that was the 'race within a race', so to speak......
..plus the h-16's from Puerto Rico are all top notch teams (....yes, Puerto Rico is apart of the USA, as much as any other USA state, except they cannot vote in the presidential election..)
...point being,...this H-17 was right up with the PR H-16 every race,......so, the boat is definately competative in coastal or offshore races (...within its own realm)
....as always,...it is whose hand is on the tiller..

Bruce
