We're looking for a sail that is beyond repair, for use on land <img src="<>/smile.gif" alt="smile" title="smile" height="15" width="15" /> Get that

too pretty to throw away, but I don't know what else to do with it

sail out of the garage & put to use where it can be admired daily!

As a retirement celebration/gift for our Dad, we're plotting an

Extreme Home Makeover: Cabin Deck edition

later this summer and we've decided on a sail-type shade instead of an awning. A sail shade made of an actual sail, and a Hobie one at that (he participated in many TheMightyHobie18 regattas in his younger years) would be too perfect for words. We'd love to find an old, beyond-repair sail, both for economics and because I'd feel terrible poking holes in something that could be propelling a boat!

Sail could be from any Hobie watercraft - anything about 7' x 10' tall or bigger should work. Any color combination, though the less pink the better. Would need to ship to Minnesota by mid-August. Hoping to spend <$80, though I don't know if that's realistic...

Any/all leads would be much appreciated, as well! We've contacted our local Hobie dealer & Hobie fleet to no avail.

Thanks! Rachel

Check with the Des Moines Hobie dealer. Jim probably has something laying around that would work.
