We had six races Friday and seven races today. Rick says the record is 18 races, and that will be matched if they have five races tomorrow. (I thought the record was 22, but he says no.)

Right now the leader is Patrick Green, from our Ohio fleet. He has a 24-point lead. In second is Leah White from Key Largo.

Sorry, I don't know beyond that, because I don't have the results here at home.

The sailing conditions have been absolutely awesome. And the food has been awesome. Tonight for the banquet dinner, there is a 92-pound pig (at least it weighed that before it went into the china box) and a 20-pound turkey.

And, Bob, you definitely should have been here. As a past champion, maybe you will at least make a guest appearance for the 10th anniversary of the Wave Nationals next year. <img src=

Patrick Green, 41, of Put-in-Bay, Ohio won the 9th Annual Wave Nationals by a landslide. He had 53 points for the 18 races. In second place was Kenny Pierce with 80 points. Third was Jim Glanden with 85 points.

Wind was 15 on Friday, 10-15 on Saturday. Today it was 15 with gusts up to 19. All out of the east, so we had flat water for the duration.

Patrick, formerly a Thistle sailor, started sailing Waves two summers ago and bought his own Wave at the beginning of this past summer. It appears to be one of the first Waves made. He trailered it down from Ohio for the Nationals. He is taking the perpetual trophy back to the island to put in the Put-in-Bay School trophy case in hopes of inspiring some of the local kids to start sailing Waves.

Rick will be posting a story and pictures maybe tomorrow on our welcome page.
