Tim,

Here's an updated plant hardiness map for the US...quite a change (Ohio...the Florida of the 21st century).

Went to the german boatshow on saturday to get some windsurf gear and took some pics at the Hobie stand.
The new Hobie 14 Turbo looked nice, there was also a prototype of something that looked like a Hobie 14/16 crossover.

They still make the 14 over in EU?

I guess so, next time i'm over at my dealer i'll ask him about the H14 sales numbers.
Anyway, I uploaded all the pics into an album: BOOT 2007 Gallery
They also had a Tiger, but not with the new sails (as the one at the Paris boatshow).
What else did I do? Did some windsurfing on sunday and today stripped the carpets out of my new appartment (boring!).

Well the train to cheer up my son is now finished; he's still crook, and I'm off to check him in a moment. Hopefully this will cheer him up when he get up tomorrow - VHS tape to give some scale:

Yep - they've put in some change proposals to the IHCA recently to make the bridle and shroud attachment points more like the 16.

I wouldn't say they make a lot of them, but they still make them.

Thank goodness! I was really distressed when I was told that Hobie Cat U.S. had destroyed the molds for the Hobie 14. Why would you destroy molds? How much space could they take up?

Boat styles are like spike heels and bell bottoms. What is out today comes back IN 20 years down the road.

with the 14 in the background for ref., looks like they

bobbed

the 16 bows?

Nice train. We attempted to make snowmen but the parts were too heavy to lift, what's left looks like a pair of dice. <img src=

I like the look of that boat, it looks like it could be a blast but what am I saying.... all beachcats are fun.

Those hulls might have more floatation than the 14, look at how much lower the tramp is, or is the hull just bigger.

This is GREAT! I've always wanted to be able to have a palmetto tree in my front yard. If this keeps coming, my dream of living in Florida is going to happen and I'm not going to have to move!

Nicely done! My brother and I used to build lego cars and purposely and repeatedly ram them into each other - last man still rolling wins. My 5 year old nieces were getting a little perturbed that we were hogging the Legos last Christmas though. <img src=

You know- I think the Legos and Lincoln Logs are going to cause the biggest fight when my parents die. <img src=

alt=

Hi All,

Just got back from Tallahassee [ did I put enough letters in the word?] and flew out ot Tampa to be back in St. Croix Saturday nite.

Good movies on the trip,..'the Illusionist' on the way up,...and 'the Invincible' on the way down home..

The I17 is on the beach at the SCYC ready with all the other cats for the Regatta in 2 weeks.

Hulls polished and bottom faired.

The regatta is changed this year, from 3 days to 2....so, we will cram more raqces into 2 days..

The Caribe ocean temp[82 f] is warmer than the air at nite [76 f] and a lite mm wetsuit is in order [ yes, we Caribes' are such wimps with water temp..]

The wind has been kinda north of east, but blowing a steady 15-20 mph, all day, all nite for about 1 week now.

all in all, a paradise for cat sailors..

..of course,..come on down,..you can sleep on the beach next to your boat,..and see the sunrise.....

...work?....what's that..... <img src=

/>

regards,

Bruce

Cool! All they ever bring to the Annapolis Boat Show is a Getaway and a bunch of kayaks...
