Hi everyone, I don't know if it is appropriate to post this question here, if not, I'm sorry.

Can anyone point me to a budget drysuit available in the Netherlands? Mail order is okay too, if the shipping prices are reasonable.

I found a

Mystic lightning

suit and a

Crewsaver for 199 UK pounds.
Also a

Gul Infra" which looks very nice, again for 199.

Are these good prices or can I get a better deal somewhere?

Thanks,
Dennis

You might give them a try: http://www.droogpakken.nl/ they caught my eye not to long ago with an offer that looked interesting. For the sailing I do a wetsuit is good enough so I didn't look any further so I can't tell you more about them.

hi dennis, you might want to try extreme sailinggear as well they make some good low price suits. although my experience with cheaper drysuits is not very good. i've switched to expensive musto hpx/mpx and found out that they are much more comfortable and they last longer. over the years the cost were similar but the comfort of the musto's are much higher.

Thanks everyone. I just ordered a

Gul infra

drysuit from the UK via e-bay. This seems like it was the best deal I could get at this time.
Keeping my fingers crossed!

Have you picked/purchased a boat?

Not yet, it depends on what I come across!
I need to try a couple of different boats and see whether to go for more racy, with daggers, and less manageable, or small simple and very safe to sail (easy to solo-right)... A number of boats fit the bill, but those two broad categories are what it boils down to and only experience can tell me which will suit me best.

An F16HP is out of the question due to cash and time restraints... Otherwise I'd spring for one or build one myself.

Sometimes ordering from the Channel Islands can save quite a bit as well (No VAT).
